Reiners from Quebec slide their stuff wih success at the Sumac Farm Competiition in Nova Scotia

During the week-end of August 14 and 15, a group of Québec Reiners drove all the way to Nova Scotia to take part in the Sumac Slide show. The group included the whole Laverdière family (Raynald, Sophie, Hélène, Frédérique and Gabrielle), André DeBellefeuille, Luke Gagnon, Catherine Rhéaume, Mélissa Larouche and Marie-Ève Bellemare.

The show was held on the beautiful site of the Sumac Farm, owned by Mr.Sobeys, and the nice weather contributed to make it a wonderful experience. The two Open and Non Pro events were won by André DeBellefeuille and Sophie Laverdière. Marie-Ève Bellemare won the Novice Horse event and Luke Gagnon got the first place in the Futurity Snaffle Bit. Frédérique Laverdière won the 13 and under NRHA class, while His younger sister won the Short Legs class. Congratulations to all for such an outstanding performance.

Our Québec riders drove back home with a good number of tropheys, with a fair amount of money, but mostly, with some very nice memories of their stay in Nova Scotia.
